Why oh why??? lol
Showing you a pic of the car park at high tide. Well, after a rainfall anyway.
Today I had a call from the hospital, would or could I work tomorrow? Oh and Saturday too! I said I would go tomorrow but not Saturday.
I think this will be my last shift. Mind you, I keep saying that.
I am like everyone getting older and the longer I am away from the hospital the harder it is to get back into the routine.
All the patients will be unknown to me, I find it sad that I can't get a proper rapport going.
Ahhh well.
Please wish me well. lol

April Fools. Funny or stupid?
I haven't been out today so have missed any stupid pranks.
Is it my age? I don't think it is funny any more. Did I ever think it was funny?
I remember at the tender age of 15 I worked in a big bakery and was sent for a long stand. Like a good worker I did. The staff that I asked for one told me I had been fooled, made me a cuppa. I sat there until the Foreman came to see what was taking me so long. lol

Stopped Smoking.
Today it was 6 months ago yesterday that I gave up smoking. Yes, six long months.
So today I have been ciggie-less for half a year.
It's been easy and it's been hard. I think it was me that made it hard. Seemed to make heavy going of it.
Still, I just hope that I never have another cig. Yes, I would like one in a way but that one would creep up to more than one wouldn't it?
I may have said all this before but now I am at this stage I would be so silly to have another cig again.
Please keep going if you too are quitting.
Save money, smell fresher and feel healthier in the end.
Good luck and please don't give up trying.
I am not preaching, it is hard and to tell the truth I wouldn't have given up if............
A/ They were good for my health.
B/ They were cheaper.

Well.................
In about 7 days I will have been off the cigs for 6 months.
I can't really believe it. Seems really strange.
I mean, here I am, 64 years old. Gone through 2 birthday parties, Christmas and New Year, the Budget and soon Easter without a cig.
Oh and also my birthday.
Oh, and a No Smoking Day.
I honestly never thought I would make it.
With what I have saved, should I?
Buy a laptop?
Keep saving for a holiday?
Buy a load of new clothes?
Save it for a rainy day?
I just don't know.
I don't know if I will keep it up. I hope so, it would be very silly to start again. One will lead to two and they will lead to a packet a day in time.

Cold and very windy.
Here it is cold and windy. It is dry today though. They say that March roars in like a Lion and goes out like a Lamb. I hope so. High winds frighten me, yes, ok, I AM a whimp.
I know that other places have had it a lot worse than we have. They have also had to put up with flooding.
I should just thank my lucky stars that, up to now, fingers crossed and all that touch wood stuff, things will begin to get better now.

Mothers Day.
In Britain today, it has been Mothering Sunday.
Other countries seem to have their Mother's Day later. I found this out when friends in the USA sent me greetings in summer.
Since it is all to do with the Mother Church, (I think,) I thought it would be the same in all countries.
Take what I have said with a pinch of salt though. lol
Anyway, hope mums everywhere have had a lovely day!

My Birthday.
Hello, if it wasn't for the extra day tomorrow, it would be my birthday. I was feeling sorry for me then I thought of the poor souls who were born on 29th Feb. Would they celebrate their birthday today or on the 1st March on non leap years?
I think age would have something to do it. When you are young you will want your birthday to arrive soon. But when you are my age you would put it off a day! lol

Valentines Day.
Yea, I gotta card. Well, when I say a card I mean an e-mail card. It was from my friend in the USA and was sent to himdownstairs and me. Thank you my friend.
When I was a girl and that was a long time ago, the idea was to send a card to someone you quite liked. Teenage crush and all that. lol They never knew who it was from and you never told them. Usually anyway. Now you can buy a card for everyone and people sign them with their names. Not funny ones like Cuddlebunny and things like that. No, their proper names.
I believe you can get one for your dog or cat. Not sure about your goldfish though. Well some people must make money out of it eh?
Sour grapes, I never got many cards in my life, no flowers or chocs.
Woe is me.

At Last.....A Wii.
At last my granddaughter has got her Christmas pressie from her dad. Yes, it's a Wii.
Worth waiting for I believe, she says it is wicked!!! Or was it kwl??? I forget now but I do know she loves it.
